Assalamu’alaikum.
I am currently working in a telecom company in Dhaka for 2 years, having completed my BBA from a reputed institution. Recently, I have seen a job circular for Asian Development Bank (ADB) where they will be recruiting candidates with international standard qualification. I am asking whether it will be Halal to work for ADB? Here is the job link:

Things that I know about ADB:
1. They generate income from both funding and loans.
2. They provide Financial Aid to poor countries for FREE.
3. They also provide Financial Aid with 1/2% interest rate.

Almighty Allaah says,
يا أيها الذين آمنوا اتقوا الله وذروا ما بقي من الربا إن كنتم مؤمنين. فإن لم تفعلوا فأذنوا بحرب من الله ورسوله وإن تبتم فلكم رءوس أموالكم لا تظلمون ولا تظلمون.
Translation: “O you who believe, fear Allaah and give up what still remains of interest if you are true believers. But if you do not (give it up), then be informed of the declaration of war from Allaah and His Messenger. However, if you repent, for you is your capital. Neither wrong, nor be wronged. (Al-Baqarah v.278-279)
Consider the following Hadith,
لعن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم آكل الربا وموكله وكاتبه وشاهديه وقال هم سواء.[ صحيح مسلم -11/ 28)
Translation: Sayyiduna Jaabir (Radhiyallaahu ‘anh) narrates that Nabi (Sallallaahu ‘alaihi wasallam) cursed those who are involved in usury; whether it is the person who is giving usury, receiving it, writing the transaction or witnessing it. (Muslim)
so adb bank job absolutely haram,
You should carry on current job.
Allaah Ta’aala is the provider. Leave the impermissible for Him and He will place barakah in your life and wealth.
